The original sheep shearing sandstone shed which is over a century old, has been converted into the venue.  The earlier era of stock farming is depicted in a very old wool press which has been converted into reception table and other memorabilia on display.

The Décor is very elegant with beautiful chandeliers adorning the timber trusses.  A massive fireplace creates ambience and warms up the interior on those cold Highveld days. The dining area overlooks the adjoining bar area, where stacking doors lead out onto a large wooden deck with picturesque views across the valley.  The cattle and sheep can be seen grazing in the distance.

The venue can seat up to 80 guests and is ideally suited for conferences, weddings and smaller events and celebrations of life. A sophisticated HD Projector and screen is available.

The venue has a fully equipped kitchen with a full catering service.  We offer the services of a party planner encompassing all aspects of events from weddings to conferences.

The Shed may be hired on its own, or in combination with our accommodation. As with the rest of Springgrove Estate, a powerful generator ensures that you event is catered for in every way, including a possible power failure!
